After trying several other walking shoes, I
finally hit it right with the Acacia color on Pace Glove.
This shoe fits my very narrow heal perfectly without
slipping. The toe box, while tapered, is a little wide,
which, I believe, is for added stability. With a removable
insole, the shoe easily accommodates my sport orthodic. No
break-in was necessary, and I experienced total comfort from
the start. I have been required to wear orthotics since
January and they would only fit in 1 pair of my shoes. A
friend in Florida recommended the Stability Walker and I
have to agree. By removing the innersoles, my orthotics fit
perfect. My physical therapist agrees that the Stability
Walkers are a good quality sneaker and provide the support
in the right areas for good foot health. I now have 2 pair
of shoes that I can wear!!!
I am very happy with my Stability Walkers. I have some knee
pain now and then and need good arch support to keep it from
acting up. These shoes are very comfortable to wear and
provide great support. They really help with my knee. I am
very happy that I did! I have recently ordered a pair of
sandals and am hoping they will be as comfortable as the
Stability Walker's. I'm on my feet all day and my feet still
feel good at the end of the day. I have a history of ankle
instability and these shoes make me feel confident enough to
play volleyball without worry of injury. I'm disappointed in
the laces, they never seem to hold up well. I'm also
disappointed with the inside back of the shoe right above
where your heel sits. The inside fabric seems to wear away
much too soon after purchase.
I was unable to purchase the Propet Flex Walker (which is
what I usually buy) so I gave the Acacia a try. It is a more
substantial shoe than the flex walker. It has excellent
support and is extremely comfortable and springy. However,
they are a heavier shoe and I find them to be a little
clunky. But the relief from my foot pain makes this
"dislike" easy to over look. I would definitely recommend
this shoe if you have feet, knee or back trouble. Just be
sure to allow a day or two to "break them in" and get used
to the support that they provide compared to other shoes. |
